Nadda's Vision for Biopharmaceutical Excellence

Union Health Minister J P Nadda made a significant visit to the National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPER) in Mohali, Punjab. During his visit, he initiated the NIPER Medicinal Succulents Garden and reviewed the strategic priorities and the innovation ecosystem of the institute.

The Director of NIPER-Mohali, Professor Dulal Panda, presented key performance indicators and strategies to strengthen its industry linkages and research excellence. The institute's focus on advanced biopharmaceuticals, new therapeutic domains, and technology transfer was spotlighted, along with its contributions to biopharmaceutical advancements in APIs and biologics.

Addressing attendees, Nadda assured continued policy support and funding for research infrastructure. Manoj Joshi, Secretary of the Department of Pharmaceuticals, engaged with faculty on enhancing industry collaborations and stressed the importance of transitioning to practical translational research. The day's events preceded the 10th National Summit on Innovation and Inclusivity in health at Chandigarh.
