Doctors Warn Against Ignoring Persistent Symptoms of Blood Cancer

They highlight advancements in immune therapy and bone marrow transplants, stressing the need for awareness to prevent diagnostic delays, especially among children.

Medical professionals are advising individuals not to overlook ongoing symptoms such as fever, fatigue, and anemia, which may signal blood cancer if they persist despite initial treatment.
In anticipation of World Blood Cancer Day, specialists from Bhagwan Mahaveer Cancer Hospital emphasized that early detection combined with timely intervention can lead to full recovery, enabling patients to live normal lives.
Prakash Singh Shekhawat, an expert in blood cancer and bone marrow transplants, noted that modern therapies have significantly raised recovery rates with early diagnosis playing a critical role.
Haemato-oncologist Shivani Mathur highlighted that many children diagnosed with blood cancer have been completely cured when treatment starts promptly. She pointed out that a number of these patients now lead healthy and active lives.
Doctors also underlined the significance of advanced treatments like immune-based therapy, urging individuals to seek expert medical advice if symptoms persist beyond usual care.
