Mayori Joins Hands with SpotlessDame Initiative for Breaking Barriers and Changing Mindsets around Menstruation

Praveenlata Sansthan under its initiative Spotless Dame (Bedag Nari) organized a Capacity Building Program on Menstruation Hygiene Management in association with Mayori Conscious Clothing Pvt Ltd and Silk Asia for around 90 Female Factory Workers and 15 Male workers with a mission to create awareness around menstruation not only for women but also men who has to understand the need and take the lead.

The session was conducted by Vedant Agarwal from Neerja Modi School along with Shobha Soni Trainer MHM under the supervision of Founder Bharti Singh Chauhan. After the workshop, all the male and female factory workers were provided with a special menstruation pad - MERA PAD - Cares MY DIGNITY PACK- made up of natural fibre with Anti Bacterial and Super Absorbency Features. This pad can last for as long as more than 5 years. The training and distribution of sanitary pads among the male factory workers were aimed to sensitise them to speak and support their wives and daughters on their needs of sanitation during menstruation.

Vrinda Agarwal Director -Mayori stated that after seeing the female factory workers' need and challenges during menstruation she stood to support the initiative strongly to connect and provide sustainable support on menstruation for women through Mayori conscious clothing conscious giving program- You buy one, We give one. She also got associated with Praveenlata Sansthan initiative of Cloth Pad Project with an aim of breaking barriers and changing mindsets hence ensured male and females are supported through the program. Bharti Singh Chauhan Founder Praveenlata Sansthan said, "This is first of its kind initiative taken up by the organization wherein factory workers have been trained around Menstruation and also supported to handle their menstruation during their work and there is a huge need of the program for female workers working in Factories.
