Highlighting PM Modi's engagements, Kwatra noted, 'PM met President Zelenskyy at the G20 summit in Italy and in Tokyo, then met President Putin. Throughout these engagements, India has advocated for dialogue and offered support for any meetings between the concerned parties. We are consistent in our approach.' Kwatra reiterated the Prime Minister's stance, saying, 'PM Modi has stated clearly that this is not a time for war; solutions cannot come from the battlefield. India's role will focus on dialogue and diplomacy. PM Modi emphasized the impact of the conflict on the Global South, particularly energy security.'
