Tel Aviv [Israel], July 21 (ANI/TPS): President Isaac Herzog is set to travel to Italy and France to represent Israel at the opening ceremony of the 2024 Olympic Games.
During his visit, Herzog will hold diplomatic meetings with French President Emmanuel Macron, Italian President Sergio Mattarella, and other global leaders. Discussions will focus on Israel's security challenges and the urgent need to return hostages home.
On Wednesday, Herzog will visit the Olympic Village to affix a mezuzah at the Israeli delegation's building and join a memorial for the Munich Massacre victims. Thursday will see meetings with Italian leaders in Rome, followed by a return to Paris for a reception hosted by Macron. On Friday, Herzog will engage with the Jewish community in France and attend the Olympic opening ceremony along the River Seine.
