Abu Dhabi [UAE], July 28 (ANI/WAM): The Emirati Human Resources Development Council (EHRDC) and Keolis MHI, the operating company for the Dubai Metro and Tram, have inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to bolster Emiratisation efforts in the private sector. This collaboration aims to elevate professional development and career prospects for UAE nationals through detailed technical and vocational training programs.
Abdullah Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, Deputy Chairman of EHRDC and Director-General of the Human Resources Department in Dubai, and David Franks, Managing Director of Keolis MHI, signed the MoU. This pact prioritizes recruitment and structured training initiatives, enabling Emiratis to gain hands-on experience in diverse engineering and operational roles in Dubai Metro and Tram.
The MoU framework includes comprehensive training for Emiratis in critical rail operations and maintenance areas such as automatic train control systems, automated tariff collection, power supply systems, and infrastructure. Trainees will benefit from theoretical education and on-the-job training, supported by a dedicated mentoring program led by senior experts. Additionally, the agreement features initiatives to raise awareness among students about career opportunities in the industry. Qualified Emirati candidates will be provided by EHRDC for Keolis MHI's training programs and vacant positions, aiming to cultivate Emirati talent in the industrial sector.
Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Chairman of EHRDC, highlighted the importance of the partnership for advancing Emiratisation in the private sector, providing invaluable opportunities for UAE nationals. Amal Abdullateef, Chief People Officer of Keolis MHI, emphasized the collaboration's role in developing a skilled workforce and contributing to the growth of Dubai's transport sector. This initiative aligns with their successful partnership with Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and reinforces their commitment to Emiratisation.
