Dubai [UAE], July 30 (ANI/WAM): The Salama Training Center for Preventive Training, in cooperation with the Prevention and Safety Authority (SPSA), organized the Heat Stress Awareness Week event, targeting more than 500 private-sector workers whose duties require working under the sun. The initiative aimed to raise awareness about preventing heat stress, protecting oneself from heat-related illnesses, and managing such conditions if they occur.

The event featured a series of awareness sessions and interactive workshops conducted by trainers and specialized experts from the Salama Training Center. These activities were designed to enhance occupational health and safety culture and encourage workers to adhere to various health and physical requirements to protect against heat stress, such as keeping normal body temperature, staying hydrated, and wearing protective gear.

Engineer Hamid Al Zarouni, CEO-SANED, emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts by all stakeholders and the necessity for employers and workers to implement state-enacted legal decisions and regulations prohibiting work under direct sunlight during high-temperature periods. "Through this event, we aim to educate and raise awareness among workers about all aspects of occupational health and safety," said Al Zarouni, noting the state's commitment to reducing work-related accidents, injuries, and illnesses through comprehensive policies and strategies.
