UAE Launches Urgent Initiative to Evacuate Injured Palestinians for Medical Care

The World Health Organization's Regional Director for the Eastern Mediterranean has expressed heartfelt gratitude to the United Arab Emirates for a critical initiative. The UAE, in partnership with WHO, will evacuate 85 severely ill and injured Palestinians from the Gaza Strip to Abu Dhabi for urgent medical treatment.
These evacuees, including cancer patients requiring extensive care, will be accompanied by 63 family members. The UAE's swift action aims to provide lifesaving care in its hospitals.
In a press statement, Dr. Hanan Balkhy, WHO Regional Director for the Eastern Mediterranean, emphasized the importance of regional solidarity and the urgent need for intra-regional support. Dr. Balkhy's remarks highlighted the vital role of the UAE's intervention in this humanitarian effort.
