The situation in Balochistan continues to deteriorate as Pakistani defence forces brutally crack down on the Baloch community during the Baloch National Gathering. Protestors accuse the forces of attempting to prevent them from participating in nationwide events that hold the government and defence accountable for their actions.

Despite serious human rights violations, international media has largely ignored the violence in Balochistan, according to activists. The Baloch Yakjehti Committee has called on the global media to cover the issue, emphasizing that Balochistan has become a war-torn region where the state uses its machinery to suppress peaceful gatherings.

Reports claim that in the past 48 hours, internet services have been shut down in Gwadar and parts of Makuran, with phone networks disabled and an undeclared curfew imposed. Baloch caravans traveling to Gwadar were met with force by the military, resulting in injuries and destruction of property. Protestors continue to face raids, disappearances, and false charges in what activists call a blatant violation of human rights.
