The first-ever US-India Cancer Moonshot Dialogue recently took place in New Delhi, zeroing in on cancer and the reinforcement of US-India biomedical research cooperation. The event, held at the National Institute of Immunology, aimed to advance global health, according to a press release from the US Embassy in India.

US Ambassador to India, Eric Garcetti, and Nobel Laureate Dr Jim Allison, delivered a pivotal public lecture titled 'Beyond Checkpoint Inhibition'. The dialogue convened a diverse assembly, including senior US and Indian government officials, private sector leaders, NGOs, and young researchers, highlighting collaborative efforts in cancer research.

Ambassador Garcetti emphasized the partnership's strength, built on shared values and a vision for a healthier future. The dialogue featured contributions from White House OSTP, NIH, FDA, ARPA-H, DoE, and Veterans Affairs. India's Rajesh Gokhale and Dr Rajiv Bahl underscored their commitment to innovative cancer treatments and collaborative research.
