By Ajit Dubey: Members of the Sheikh Hasina entourage, who arrived in India with her on Monday, have started departing for their next destinations.
The entourage, including Sheikh Hasina and her sister Sheikh Rehana, arrived on August 5. Sources revealed that most members have now begun leaving India. The entourage fled Bangladesh in haste due to escalating threats, with many unable to bring personal belongings. Indian protocol officials assisted them with essential items.
Sources indicated that the entourage was in shock from recent events in Bangladesh. Indian National Security Advisor Ajit Doval was in constant communication with officials and met Hasina upon her arrival. Immediate assistance and secure accommodations were provided in Delhi. Bangladesh is facing political instability, with Hasina resigning on August 5 amid protests led by students against a government quota system.
The interim government, led by Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus, is set to take the oath of office tonight. Bangladesh Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman stated that the oath-taking ceremony would include 400 dignitaries. General Zaman expressed hope for a return to normalcy within days and assured legal action against recent offenders.
