Maple Leafs, Senators swap AHL forwards
The Toronto Maple Leafs and Ottawa Senators made a swap of young forwards on Friday.
The Maple Leafs sent Morgan Klimchuk, 23, to the Senators for Gabriel Gagne, 22.
Both players have spent their seasons thus far in the American Hockey League.
A former first-round pick by Calgary, Klimchuk appeared in one game with the Flames last season. He was traded to the Maple Leafs for defenseman Andrew Nielsen earlier this season.
Gagne, a second-round pick by Ottawa in 2015, has yet to appear in an NHL game.
Both will be restricted free agents after the season.
