The United Kingdom has introduced an unprecedented sanctions package against Russia, marking the largest set of such measures since the conflict began three years ago. The Labour-led government announced over 100 new sanctions, directly challenging those supporting Russia's continued aggression against Ukraine, according to an official statement.

This significant package zeroes in on Russia's military supply lines, the revenues funding its illegal war, and kleptocrats who are enriching the Kremlin. The initiative also underscores efforts to bolster Ukraine, thereby promoting a secure and prosperous Europe and UK, industries deeply embedded within the government's strategic Plan for Change.

Prime Minister emphasized the necessity of today’s sanctions, which target the financing of Russia's war efforts and are crucial for collective continental security. Widening its scope, the UK has sanctioned multiple Russian military-associated entities including those in Central Asian states, Turkey, Thailand, India, and China. Additionally, financial institutions like Kyrgyzstan-based OJSC Keremet Bank have been penalized, aiming to thwart Russia's military support network.
