Ambassador Amir-Saeid Iravani asserted that ensuring freedom of navigation and maritime safety in the surrounding region hinges on respecting the rights of coastal nations like Iran. He warned that U.S. actions could heighten tensions and breach international law, citing the blockade as a violation of the UN Charter's prohibition against force.

U.S. military operations continue in the region, with President Trump affirming the effectiveness of the blockade as a deterrent.
