Venezuela's forces continue to guard borders as political crisis deepens

Venezuela's armed forces will remain stationed along the country's borders to prevent potential territorial violations, Defence Minister Vladimir Padrino said on Tuesday.

Padrino, in comments broadcast on state TV, said Venezuelan officers and soldiers were "obedient and subordinate" to President Nicolas Maduro, who some 50 countries around the world no longer recognize as the legitimate head-of-state.
