In a defiant statement at the White House, President Donald Trump warned that any Iranian aggression resulting in U.S. troop casualties could justify renewed military action. Trump's remarks came after a contentious congressional vote aimed at limiting his military authority regarding Iran, a move he criticized as 'unpatriotic.'

Trump castigated legislators, particularly four Republican representatives who sided with Democrats, for supporting a resolution to restrict his war-making powers. The resolution passed narrowly, with 215 votes in favor to 208 against, and now heads to the Senate, though it faces a potential presidential veto.

On Truth Social, Trump expressed frustration, accusing those who voted against him of preferring national failure over his leadership successes. He labeled the supporting Republicans as 'grandstanders' and denounced Democrats for their alleged animosity towards him, while emphasizing the strategic military achievements against Iran.
