Nepal has recommenced its cross-border hydropower supply to Bangladesh through the Indian electricity grid, setting the stage for a new season of trade under a pioneering trilateral agreement.

Nepali Ambassador to Dhaka, Ghanashyam Bhandari, announced the midnight launch, emphasizing the collaboration's historic significance and potential for expansion.

Since 2024, Nepal has supplied 40 MW during the high-demand season, marking a critical step towards regional energy integration amid growing needs and capacities.
