In a significant diplomatic move, US President Donald Trump announced the imminent release of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Iran, a document he termed as "very powerful." Speaking alongside French President Emmanuel Macron at the G7 Summit in Evian, Trump suggested the full text would be unveiled post-formal signing later this week.

According to a senior US official cited by CNN, the complete MoU is slated for public release within 24 to 48 hours, reflecting the administration's commitment to transparency. The historic agreement comes after initial digital signatures by both the United States and Iran, following diplomacy facilitated by Switzerland, Pakistan, and Qatar.

While the agreement awaits a formal signing ceremony in Geneva on Friday, its potential for de-escalating tensions in the Middle East has been lauded. Swiss and US officials acknowledge the MoU as a step toward increased regional stability, with maritime activities safely resuming in the Strait of Hormuz.
