Raptors F Leonard sits out versus Magic

Toronto Raptors star forward Kawhi Leonard is sitting out Sunday's home game against the Orlando Magic due to what the team called "load management." The All-Star played Friday night and had 25 points and six rebounds in a 120-117 win over the San Antonio Spurs, his former club. Toronto did not have a game on Saturday.

Leonard is averaging 26.9 points and 7.6 rebounds in 44 games. Leonard played in just nine games last season because of a quadriceps injury while with the Spurs. The Raptors have periodically rested him throughout this season in his first year in Toronto after an offseason trade from San Antonio.

Toronto is 13-3 when Leonard sits out. The Raptors (44-16) have won their past seven games entering the game against Orlando. The streak is the longest current one in the NBA.
