Britain's opposition Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn met with five big business organisations on Tuesday to discuss Brexit and his party's alternative plan for leaving the European Union, his spokesman said on Wednesday.
"Business groups and Jeremy discussed the ongoing Brexit process (and) Labour's credible alternative plan for a close economic relationship with the EU, which would work for our economy and could unite remain and leave voters," the spokesman told reporters. He also said Corbyn would meet lawmakers from both Labour and the governing Conservative Party who are pressing for a close economic relationship with the EU post-Brexit.
