Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika is expected to land in Algeria around noon (1100 GMT), Ennahar television reported on Sunday, after two weeks in a Swiss hospital.

An Algerian government plane which took Bouteflika to Geneva on Feb. 24 for medical treatment landed at Geneva's Cointrin airport on Sunday. It was not expected to depart in time to fly him home by noon. Mass protests which began three weeks ago pose the biggest challenge to Bouteflika's 20-year rule.
