Serbia vows support to Tunisia against terrorism, MoU signed to boost cooperation

A series of partnership agreements and memoranda of understanding were signed on Monday, March 11 between Tunisian Foreign Minister Khemaies Jhinaoui and his Serbian counterpart Ivica Dacic during the latter’s two-day official visit.
The two ministers co-chaired the signing ceremony of the agreements in several fields, including a bilateral cooperation agreement between the Tunisian Diplomatic Institute for Training and Education (IDFE) and the Diplomatic Academy of Serbia, according to a statement issued by the Tunisian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
A memorandum of understanding was concluded in the employment and social security sectors. They also signed several sports and youth agreements over a period of three years. In the transport sector, a bilateral partnership agreement was signed on the mutual recognition of driving licenses, as reported by Xinhua.
During the signing ceremony, the Serbian foreign minister reiterated his country’s support for Tunisia in the fight against terrorism and extremism.
“We must remove the obstacles hindering bilateral relations,” said Dacic.
