Germany favours delay if it can avoid hard Brexit: Heiko Maas

German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said on Tuesday he would prefer to give the United Kingdom more time on Brexit than to end up with an unwanted no-deal scenario. "If more time is needed, it's always better to do another round than a no-deal Brexit," Maas told a news conference he gave together with the Finnish and Swedish foreign ministers and Denmark's state secretary for foreign policy in Helsinki.
