Blackhawks agree to extension with D Dahlstrom

Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Carl Dahlstrom has agreed to a two-year contract extension through the 2020-21 season, the team announced Wednesday. The contract will have an average annual value of $850,000.

Dahlstrom has six assists and no goals in 35 games this season, also appearing in 22 games with the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League. The 24-year-old Swede was a second-round pick by Chicago in the 2013 NHL Draft, making his debut with the Blackhawks on Feb. 10, 2018.

He has nine assists in 46 career games with the Blackhawks. --Field Level Media
