Boucher honoured as G League's Most Valuable Player

Raptors 905 forward Chris Boucher was named the 2018-19 NBA G League Most Valuable Player and Defensive Player of the Year on Monday, becoming the first player to sweep both awards. Born in Saint Lucia and raised in Canada, he is also the fist international player to earn MVP honors.
Boucher, 26, averaged 27.2 points, 11.4 rebounds and 4.1 blocked shots in 28 games with Raptors 905. Undrafted out of Oregon in 2017, the 6-foot-11 Boucher made his NBA debut with Golden State in 2017-18.
He signed a two-way contract with the Toronto Raptors in October, which was converted to a standard NBA contract in February. Boucher has appeared in 26 NBA games this season with Toronto, averaging 2.9 points and 1.6 rebounds in 5.2 minutes.
