Raptor engaged in finding fit in place of Anunoby

The Toronto Raptors were left to make adjustments on Friday, one day before their playoff opener against the Orlando Magic, with the news that forward OG Anunoby is out indefinitely after undergoing an emergency appendectomy Thursday night. The second-year player, who is a key reserve for the Raptors, scored 7.0 points per game this season with 2.9 rebounds. It remains unknown if Anunoby would be ready to play at any point of the opening Eastern Conference playoffs series.

Anunoby played in 67 games this season, starting six of them, a year after he started 62 games as a rookie out of Indiana. The last of those six starts came against Orlando on Feb. 24, when he scored five points with six rebounds over 24 minutes in a 113-98 Magic victory. The 23rd overall selection in the 2017 NBA draft has averaged 6.4 points with 2.7 rebounds over 141 career games.
