Foreign direct investment (FDI) into China rose 6.4% in January-April to 305.24 billion yuan ($44.40 billion) compared with a year earlier, the Ministry of Commerce said on Thursday. In April, FDI into China grew 6.3% on-year to 62.95 billion yuan, the commerce ministry said, down from March's 95.17 billion yuan.
FDI into China from the United States rose 24.3% in the first four months of 2019. Separately, China's non-financial outbound direct investment (ODI) in Jan-April was at $34.64 billion, the ministry said.
