Mexico seeks support of US, Canada to move forward with development plan

Mexico's President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador said on Monday that he had tasked Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard to seek an agreement with the United States, Canada and other nations to support a development plan for Central America.
Lopez Obrador said Trump had already made a commitment for U.S. investment in Central America and Mexico and had shown interest in his push for economic development over security aid to control immigration, but that the next step was to sign an agreement.
