Eight Indian nationals arrested for running illegal networking business in Nepal

Eight Indian nationals have been arrested here for allegedly running an illegal networking business and duping several people of lakhs of rupees. All the eight accused, belonging to Uttar Pradesh, were arrested on the basis of information furnished by victims, who reported that they were created by the Indian nationals operating network business in Kathmandu.

According to police, they duped local people of lakhs of rupees by promising them to pay 6 per cent monthly interest to each person who deposits USD 2,500 in their accounts and also provide the same amount to them additionally. The police have initiated a further investigation into the matter.

Two of the accused were arrested from a hotel in Kathmandu's Thamel area with Rs 3.35 million while the remaining six were arrested from Babarmal area along with with Rs 8.50 lakh.
