Indian envoy, Nepal Army chief discuss bilateral issues

Newly-appointed Ambassador of India to Nepal Vinay Mohan Kwatra on Tuesday met Nepal Army chief General Purna Chandra Thapa during which the two leaders discussed matters relating to bilateral interest and mutual cooperation, officials said. Kwatra, who is the 25th Indian envoy to the Himalayan nation, presented his credentials to Nepal President Bidya Devi Bhandari on March 5 at a special ceremony held at Rashtrapati Bhawan. According to Nepal Army officials, the Indian envoy met Thapa at the Army Headquarters here.
