Elephant electrocuted to death in Jharkhand

An elephant has been electrocuted to death in Jharkhand's Simdega district, a forest officer said on Tuesday.
The elephant was found dead in Kundurmunda Takbahal in Bolba police station area in the morning, he said.
The pachyderm was suspected to have come in contact with an electric wire, Simdega Divisional Forest Officer (DFO) Arvind Kumar Gupta said.
The corpse has been sent for post-mortem examination, and further investigation is underway, he added.
