Syrian rebels withdraws heavy weapons from demilitarised zone agreed by Russia, Turkey

Syrian rebels have completed the withdrawal of heavy weapons from the frontline in Idlib, under the agreement between Russia and Turkey regarding the creation of a demilitarised zone, the state-run Anadolu news agency said on Monday.

No further details were immediately available. The Turkey-backed National Front for Liberation (NFL) rebel alliance had previously said in a statement the withdrawal had started on Saturday.
