Chhattisgarh: Two killed after truck collides with motorcycle in Bilaspur district

Two persons were killed when a speeding truck collided with their motorcycle in Chhattisgarh's Bilaspur district on Friday, police said.

The accident took place at Darsagar Chowk on Ratanpur-Kenda road under Kota police station limits in the morning hours, an official said.

Chandrashekhar Gandharva (23) and his relative Panchram Gandharva (25) were travelling to Saraipali village, when a truck coming from opposite direction dashed their motorcycle and dragged the duo, he said.

The men were killed on the spot and the bodies were sent for post-mortem, he said.

A case has been registered against the truck driver who managed to flee the spot and efforts are underway to track him down, the official said.
