Germany, EU on good path to find solution on combustion engine, Scholz says

Germany and the European Commission are on a good path to find a solution in a dispute over an EU law to phase out CO2-emitting cars by 2035, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said on Thursday.

"If I understand the talks between the Commission and the German government right... everything is on a good path," Scholz told reporters as he arrived for a summit of European Union leaders in Brussels.
