China is willing to work with ASEAN countries - foreign ministry

Senior Chinese diplomat Qin Gang said on Monday the country was willing to work with ASEAN nations to eliminate external interference and implement a declaration on the conduct of parties in the South China Sea.

Speaking with ASEAN Secretary-General Gao Jinhong in Beijing, Gang said he wanted to reach a code of conduct in the South China Sea as soon as possible.
