Putin: Russia seeing 'lull' in Ukrainian counteroffensive

President Vladimir Putin said in remarks shown on Russian state television on Wednesday that Moscow had seen a "lull" in the Ukrainian counteroffensive, and that Kyiv had suffered heavy losses in attacks in the south.

Putin also said that although Ukraine retained offensive potential, Kyiv already understood that it had "no chance" in its counteroffensive.
