A Russian court has convicted Ukraine-based Russian far-right activist Denis Kapustin of state treason and terrorism for organising armed incursions from Ukraine into Russia's Bryansk region, the state TASS news agency reported on Thursday.

Kapustin, also known as Denis Nikitin, is a former mixed martial arts fighter and a member of the Russian Volunteer Corps (RVC), an armed opposition group in Ukraine, that has carried out several incursions into Russia this year.
