Qatar welcomes World Court ruling on Israel over war in Gaza

Qatar on Friday welcomed the International Court of Justice (ICJ) ruling on South Africa's request to impose emergency measures against Israel over its war in the Gaza Strip, the Gulf country's foreign ministry said in a statement.

Qatar, where several Hamas political leaders are based, has served as the main mediator between the movement that governs Gaza and Israeli officials in the conflict.
