Degrees were conferred upon 82 cadets in the Science stream, 84 cadets in the Computer Science stream, and 39 cadets in the Arts stream.

The Convocation Ceremony for the 146th course of the National Defence Academy (NDA) took place at Habibullah Hall, NDA Pune, on May 23, 2024. A total of 205 cadets were awarded the prestigious Bachelor's degree from Jawaharlal Nehru University.

Prof (Dr) Sat Prakash Bansal, Vice Chancellor of the Central University of Himachal Pradesh, Dharamshala, and Vice Chancellor (Additional Charge) of Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla, was the Chief Guest for the occasion.

Degrees were conferred upon 82 cadets in the Science stream, 84 cadets in the Computer Science stream, and 39 cadets in the Arts stream. Additionally, 17 cadets from friendly foreign countries received their degrees during the ceremony. The B.Tech stream, comprising 132 Navy and Air Force cadets, also received ‘three years course completion’ certificates. These cadets will be conferred their degrees after completing an additional year of training at their respective pre-commissioning academies: the Indian Naval Academy in Ezhimala and the Air Force Academy in Hyderabad.

The Spring Term 2024 academic report was presented during the ceremony. In his convocation address, Prof. Bansal congratulated the cadets for successfully completing their rigorous training and expressed gratitude to the parents for motivating their wards to join this prestigious tri-services training institute of the Indian Armed Forces.

Prior to the Passing Out Parade, a Cadets’ Activity Display was conducted at Bombay Stadium, NDA Pune, showcasing the exceptional skills acquired through various aspects of military training. Chief of Army Staff Gen Manoj Pande graced the display, which included senior dignitaries, proud parents, and the cadets of the 146th Course.

The display began with a standing salute and flag hoisting in true cavalry tradition, followed by a series of awe-inspiring acts. Highlights included a daring equestrian display, a synchronized Tri-Services Attack Demo, an elite sky diving exhibition by the Akash Ganga Team, and an exhilarating sequence of physical training exercises. The event concluded with a musical ride and a tableau formation, bidding farewell to the 146th Course by the High Horse Team.
