North Korea's Balloon Warfare: Trash and Excrement on the Border

North Korea has escalated its conflict with South Korea by sending balloons carrying trash and excrement across the heavily fortified border. South Korea's defense minister has condemned the act as 'unimaginably petty and low-grade behavior.' Citizens are advised to avoid the balloons and report sightings to authorities.

North Korea is sending more balloons carrying trash and excrement across the heavily fortified border to South Korea, South Korea's military said on Saturday.

It had already sent hundreds of balloons carrying trash and excrement earlier this week, which South Korea's defence minister Shin Won-sik called "unimaginably petty and low-grade bahavior" earlier on Saturday.

South Korea's military asked the public not to touch the balloons and report them to authorities, according to a statement.
