Rs 10.10 Lakh Worth of IMFL Seized in Maharashtra

The district rural police in Maharashtra's Palghar district seized Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) valued at Rs 10.10 lakh from a tempo. Acting on a tip-off, the police intercepted the vehicle at Udhva in Talasari taluka and recovered the illegal liquor. A case under the Maharashtra Prohibition Act was registered against the tempo driver.

The district rural police in Maharashtra's Palghar district conducted a significant seizure of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL), valued at Rs 10.10 lakh, from a tempo.

According to inspector Vijay Mutadak of Talasari police station, the operation followed a tip-off that led to the interception of the vehicle at Udhva in Talasari taluka on Saturday evening.

The search resulted in the recovery of the IMFL and beer from the vehicle. A case under the Maharashtra Prohibition Act has been registered against the driver, although no arrests have been made so far, added the official.
