Ajmer Blackmail Scandal: 6 Arrested, Juvenile Detained in Shocking Case

Six men and a juvenile have been arrested in Ajmer for allegedly blackmailing girls for sexual and monetary favors. The arrests followed an FIR involving rape, blackmail, and extortion filed on May 31. The police are investigating to uncover additional victims and any further involvement.

In a startling crackdown, six men were apprehended and one juvenile detained in Ajmer for their alleged involvement in blackmailing girls for sexual and monetary favors. The arrest follows the filing of an FIR on May 31, detailing accusations of rape, blackmail, and extortion from a minor girl at Christianganj police station.

The Ajmer police swiftly acted, arresting two individuals, including the main suspect Irfan, and detaining a minor on Sunday, with four more arrests of suspects aged between 19 and 20 on Monday. SP Ajmer Devendra Vishnoi disclosed that the accused targeted school girls, primarily through Instagram, frequenting public spots like Anasagar chowpati and the seven wonders site.

IG Ajmer Lata Manoj Kumar has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to delve deeper into the case and identify further victims or additional involvement. Circle Officer (North) and investigating officer Rudra Prakash Sharma added that Irfan manipulated a minor girl via social media last December, leading to months of blackmail and extortion. Further, a gang involved in similar crimes has come to light. Authorities are committed to stringent action to curb such incidents.
