Town Planning Official Arrested for Alleged Murder Plot

Archana Manish Puttewar, a town planning assistant director, has been arrested for allegedly orchestrating the murder of her father-in-law to seize his Rs 300 crore property. Purshottam Puttewar, 82, was killed in a staged car accident. The investigation revealed that Archana funded the plot, leading to her arrest.

In a shocking turn of events, Archana Manish Puttewar, an assistant director in the Town Planning department, has been apprehended for allegedly masterminding the murder of her father-in-law for his Rs 300 crore property, according to Nagpur Crime Branch officials.

The 82-year-old Purshottam Puttewar was tragically run over in Balaji Nagar on May 22. Initial investigations suggested an accident, but further probes, including CCTV footage, revealed it was a deliberate act of murder, authorities stated.

Officials disclosed that Archana financially supported her husband's driver and two accomplices to purchase a car for the crime, making it appear accidental. Along with the murder charges, assets including cars, gold jewellery, and mobile phones have been seized.
