GNIDA Reclaims Rs 150 Crore Worth Land from Illegal Encroachers

The GNIDA used bulldozers to demolish illegal structures in Tusyana village, reclaiming approximately 75,000 square meters of land with a market value of Rs 150 crore. The operation was directed by CEO NG Ravi Kumar, with warnings issued against land-grabbing and investing in unauthorized colonies.

On Saturday, the Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) undertook a major operation to reclaim land worth around Rs 150 crore from illegal encroachers in Tusyana village. Using bulldozers, the team demolished unauthorized structures on plots numbering 517, 964, 981, 985, 995, and 1,007.

The operation, directed by GNIDA CEO NG Ravi Kumar, was led by Work Circle Three in-charge Narottam Chaudhary, successfully reclaiming approximately 75,000 square meters of land. Local colonizers were reportedly attempting to develop an unauthorized colony on the encroached land.

In light of the operation, Himanshu Verma, general manager and OSD of the project department, reiterated that the authority would not tolerate land-grabbing activities in notified areas. Additional CEO Annapurna Garg suggested the public verify land details with the authority before purchasing plots in Greater Noida and advised filing complaints against unauthorized colonizers.
