Six Arrests in Latur Woman's Tragic Suicide Case

Six individuals in Maharashtra's Latur district have been arrested for their involvement in the suicide of 30-year-old Anita Balaji Lashkare. Following a complaint by the victim's father, police have registered a case and suspended an officer for disrespectful treatment during the initial complaint.

Six individuals have been apprehended in connection with the tragic suicide of a 30-year-old woman named Anita Balaji Lashkare in Maharashtra's Latur district, police reported on Sunday.

Lashkare, a resident of Vitthalnagar, ended her life by jumping into a well on June 6th, following alleged harassment and threats from relatives.

An official stated that a case has been registered under sections 306 and 506 of the Indian Penal Code, based on a complaint lodged by the victim's father, who also accused some policemen of dismissive behavior. One officer has been suspended following an inquiry into these allegations.
