Maharashtra Liquor Heist: Rs 5 Lakh Stolen

In a brazen act of theft, two unidentified individuals reportedly broke into a liquor shop in Maharashtra's Palghar district, making off with stock and cash totaling Rs 5 lakh, police confirmed on Monday.

The audacious heist took place on Saturday at a store situated in the Mastan Naka area of Manor, law enforcement officials said.

The thieves absconded with various liquor brands and cash stored at the premises, highlighted an officer from the Manor police station. Following the shop manager's complaint, an FIR has been lodged against unknown persons under sections 380 (theft) and 457 (house-breaking) of the Indian Penal Code.
