Dr. Jitendra Singh has officially taken charge as Minister of State for the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions for the third consecutive term, reaffirming the government's commitment to ongoing governance reforms under Prime Minister Modi's leadership.
Expressing gratitude to Prime Minister Modi for entrusting him with this responsibility once again, Dr. Singh emphasized the transformative governance reforms initiated over the past decade. He underscored the government's unwavering dedication to the "Mission Viksit Bharat," highlighting its role in driving progress and ensuring ease of living for every citizen.
Addressing the media following his appointment, Dr. Singh outlined the significant achievements of the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) under PM Modi's guidance. He emphasized the principles of Minimum Government and Maximum Governance, which have led to citizen-centric reforms aimed at improving governance efficiency.
Dr. Singh highlighted several key reforms, including provisions for pensions for widowed and divorced daughters, streamlining rules and regulations across government departments, eliminating the interview process for selection, and fostering equal opportunities for aspirants from remote areas. He also emphasized the importance of administrative reforms and the groundbreaking Karmayogi Mission.
Moreover, Dr. Singh lauded the Centralized Public Grievance Redress and Monitoring System (CPGRAMS) as a global benchmark for grievance redressal.
Secretary of the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, Shri V. Srinivas, and Secretary of the Department of Personnel and Training, Smt. S. Radha Chauhan, along with other senior officials, were present during Dr. Singh's assumption of office, highlighting the collective commitment to driving forward governance reforms and public service excellence.
