Three security personnel were injured after improvised explosive devices (IED) planted by Naxalites detonated in Chhattisgarh’s Narayanpur and Bijapur districts on Friday, authorities reported.

In Narayanpur, two members of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) suffered injuries during an area domination operation near Kutul village under the Kohkameta police station jurisdiction. According to officials, the ITBP personnel encountered an IED around 6:30 am, sustaining superficial splinter injuries.

In Bijapur, a District Reserve Guard (DRG) jawan, Lachchhu Kadti, was injured by an IED blast in the forest near Bandepara village under the Farsegarh police station limits. The DRG was part of a joint operation with the Bastar Fighters, special task force, and CRPF’s elite CoBRA unit. Search operations are currently underway in both areas.
