In a significant development, three men have been detained in Frankfurt, Germany on suspicions of espionage for a foreign intelligence agency, prosecutors disclosed on Friday.
The arrested individuals have been identified as Robert A., a Ukrainian national; Vardges I., an Armenian citizen; and Arman S., hailing from Russia, in compliance with German anonymity regulations.
A judicial order on Thursday mandated their continued detention pending the possibility of formal charges for their alleged activities on behalf of a foreign secret service.
