Youth Nabbed with Contraband in City Lodge

Three youngsters have been arrested from a lodge in the city for the alleged possession of contraband, including ganja and synthetic drugs like MDMA, the police confirmed on Friday.

Valapattanam residents Mohammed Sinan (20), Mohammed Shehseen (21), and Azheekodu resident P P Farseen (20) were taken into custody on Thursday night.

The authorities said they seized 5.60 grams of MDMA and 3.72 grams of ganja, following a tip-off. Alongside the drugs, three mobile phones and various items meant for drug use were recovered. Two of the arrested individuals are reported to be students.
